Graveside services for Samuel Garner Peck, age 93, of Fayetteville will be conducted Sunday at 2pm at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating. Mr. Peck passed away Thursday at Lincoln Medical Center.
He was a native of Birmingham, AL but a longtime resident of Fayetteville, and was the son of the late Samuel Garner and Cora Steelman Peck. Mr. Peck, along with Bill Fitzgerald, were co-owners of The Yearwood Implement Company. He was a graduate of Bowling Green University with a degree in accounting. Mr. Peck was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother Robert L. Peck of Huntsville, AL, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Louise Wyatt Peck who passed away in 2004, two brothers Harold and Jack Peck and one sister Lucille Hickam.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fayetteville Lincoln County Animal Shelter or the Fayetteville Lincoln County Library.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to services.
