There was never a better nurse in the world than Miss Harris. She was there for my family when we needed a strong energetic caregiver. We will never forget her.

Mrs. Harris was always so kind to us. We went to visit her one time and she gave me a Fostoria platter that I will always cherish. She was such a unique person and we will surely miss her sweet smile. We are happy to have known her. You have our deepest sympathy.

What a great nurse! We loved her, respected her judgment, and always felt secure with her medical knowledge and advice. She was our ROCK during our
daughters infancy and early years of their lives.

Mrs. Harris will truly be missed. She always cared for me like she was my own grandmother… I loved her for that. She used to come get Walt, Ben & me and take us to school and feed us Bacon, Egg & Cheese biscuits. To this day, when I eat a Bacon, Egg & Cheese biscuit, I think of her. She always had something important to say… when she talked, everyone listened. She always emphasized the important things in life… things like being clean cut and getting a good education.

Dear Patty, Sharon, and family,
How I loved Mrs. Harris! She took such good care of us at Dr. Marshall’s office! And after my sister died, she was so lovingly attentive to us. I remember she always told me to “pant like a puppy dog” when I had to get a shot so it wouldn’t hurt–and it worked for me, so I’ve taught my own young patients to do that very thing! 🙂 She was a very gifted nurse and so full of life; and someone I’ve always loved to see when I’ve come home. She made me smile. I will miss her. You all are in my heart and prayers.

Love and deepest sympathy,
Connie Thompson Walker

Ruth lived on 2nd Ave all of my years on 2nd. I remember long ago when a woodworking class was available for us and she and Walter picked me up to go to it. I lived at 404 Second at that time and had all kinds of woodworking equipment. A pretty big piece of wood kicked back on me as I was handling it and put an end to my woodworking days.

She was so good to me and I am grateful for knowing her. I went by the Funeral Home early this morning but could not get in to sign the register. Please accept my sympathy.
