Roy Lee “R.L.” Kent

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Lee “R.L.” Kent, Jr., age 68, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mr. Kent passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Kent was a native of Lincoln County, TN, the son of the late Roy Lee Kent and Margaret West Kent. He owned Curbers, Inc., was a Army veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge and the VFW. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife Kathy M. Kent, daughter Julia Ann Kent, step-son Patrick (Tammy) Johnson all of Fayetteville, TN, step-daughters Jessica (Jason) Branch-Justice of Murfreesboro, TN, Maegan (Josey) Knowles of Fayetteville, TN, sisters Jean Gleghorn of Petersburg, TN, Dottie (Bill) Nickell of Summerville, SC, brother Monte Kent of Fayetteville, TN, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Betty Margaret Kent, and Sherry Ann Kent.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

R L Kent, we have had our times, fun, follies, and failures! A friend like you never fades away! I will always hold you in my memories and my heart forever! My heart and prayers goes to your family.
