A graveside service for Roy Alexander Moyers, Jr., age 93, of Huntsville, AL, will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Rose Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation with the family prior to the service.
Roy was born at home in the Harms community of Lincoln County, TN, to the late Roy Alexander Moyers, Sr. and Jennie Mae Armstrong Moyers. He was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, where he proudly served as a tank mechanic. Following his service, Roy worked as a printer and later retired from Teledyne Brown Engineering.
A man of quiet determination, Roy enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, hunting, and fishing. He was known for his toughness, independence, and lifelong curiosity about how things worked.
Roy passed away on October 20, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital. He is survived by his daughter, Alexa Moyers Huber, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Aleta Elizabeth Moyers; sisters, Nancy Couch, Doris Faulkner, and Hazel Moyers; and brothers, Joe Moyers, James Moyers, Larry Moyers, and Richard Moyers.
