Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Vaughn Honea age 85, of Fayetteville will be conducted Monday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Clardy, Bro Billy Moore and Bro. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery beside her husband R. L. Honea who passed away in 1981. Mrs Honea passed away Saturday morning at Fayetteville Care and Rehab.
A native of Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Will and Edith Sims Vaughn , retired from Serbin, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Rita Smith and husband Jerome of Fayetteville, son Ralph Honea , and fiance,Jimmie Lou Bradford of Shelbyville, brothers Sonny Vaughn and wife Edna, James Vaughn and wife Brenda both of Yukon community, sister June Thompson of Fayetteville, four grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild.
Mrs Honea was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Blackie Vaughn, sisters Lucille Coats, and Liz Honea.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to Prosperity Cemetery or Calvary Baptist Church.
