I met Ron in 1983 at SCI and was amazed that he could talk as much trash as I could! We became friends and neighbors at the old LaMancha apartments. I am sorry that we kind of drifted apart as the years went by and our families started to grow and take precedence in our lives! I will miss you “brother”!

I met Ron online about 15 years ago at a website where we shared a love of well-built guitars and a passion for the greats in the music of the ‘60s. We became friends, and Ron always lifted me up with his sense of humor. Ron was always a creative inspiration as he was a true renaissance man; sharing the short stories he’d written, photography, politics, music, home made Christmas candy, and savory recipes. He also participated in preserving military history and the memory of those who served. In every way Ron lifted the spirits of those both near and far. He will be greatly missed. I hope you are jamming with the greats in heaven.

I knew Ron for little over a decade from him being a frequent shopper at Kroger here in Huntsville,AL where I work; I always enjoyed seeing him. He had the biggest smile and was always so kind to all us employees. He told the best jokes even though a lot of times they weren’t appropriate for work they always made me laugh. My favorite memories of him were when he shared his great cooking with the front end. Even though he’s no longer with us I hope his recipes are saved somewhere so they can live on forever and we can all have a little something to remember him by. love ya Ron and hope you can finally rest knowing you’ll be remembered

We were devastated to hear of your passing. Shattered. You contributed so much passion, incite and humour to The Real Collingwood page on Facebook. It was amazing that you were so passionate about Collingwood from all the way over in America. You gave us (Australia) incites into your way of life and the love of your life being Linda. You adored your children and your grandchild. A real gentleman who will be sorely missed. The Pies won tonight Ron and I would like to think they won for you. You will be greatly missed my friend. R.I.P

It’s the evening of Maundy Thursday and it would have been a late night/early morning ritual for Ron to sit up to watch his beloved Collingwood football club for this week’s game. It was a big win over the Lions,
Ronnie, I know you were looking down at your boys and I felt you with me as well. Your boy Mason also played. You would have loved the whole night
I so miss our game day catch ups, I miss your sense of humour. Your kindness and friendship, hearing about your beloved family , your cooking and recipes. Life will not be the same without you my friend.
Heartfelt condolences to Linda and family.
