Funeral service for Mr. Robert Ted Wright age 84, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday May 7, 2016 at 1 pm at Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Bryan Bult officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Mr. Wright passed away May 2, 2016 at Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Nassau County, FL, he was son of the late U.R. and Myra Louise Groover Wright, Mr. Wright was a Eagle Scout and a graduate of Georgia Tech. Mr. Wright was a chemical engineer for Monsanto for 32 years, a member of the Fayetteville Lions Club, and a deacon at Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He held nine patents and was co-inventor of Astroturf. Mr. Wright enjoyed reading, photography and computers.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years Peggy Kidd Eddins Wright; son Robert Keith Wright; daughter Lee Wright; step-son Brent Eddins; and grandchildren Casey, Cameron, Logan, and Olivia.
Visitation with the family will be Friday May 6, 2016 from 4 – 7 pm at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Prosperity Cemetery Association in care of Steve Weber 191 Curtis Road Fayetteville, TN 37334.

Ted was always a pleasure to be around.
He was a very well read and traveled man who was always anxious to engage me about my latest flight and to what Country I had flown to.
I will miss him, the world lost another good person.
