Robert Patrick “Pat” Askins

Funeral services for Robert Patrick “Pat” Askins, age 83 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Friday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Askins passed away Wednesday morning in Donalson Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Askins was the son of the late Manley and Louella Ables Askins. Mr. Askins retired from Kraft after 45 years and was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Alverine Swinford Askins of Fayetteville, daughter Brenda Askins Posey of Fayetteville, grandchildren Kim Jean (Steve), Daphne Posey and Jamie Posey all of Fayetteville two great-grandchildren Kati and Nick Jean both of Fayetteville, brother Clifford Askins (Carrie) of Fayetteville.

Visitation with the family will be Friday morning 11 am -2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington Street Church of Christ Building Fund.
