Robert Marion Walker

Robert Marion Walker was born at home on November 26,1926 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He was one of three children born to the late John Thomas and Jennie Fanning Walker. He passed away November 24, 2020 in Fayetteville, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.

Robert was a lifelong cattle farmer and loved being out on his farm. He was employed in the livestock business having worked for Tennessee Livestock Producers for over 28 years. He served in the United States Merchant Marines during World War II in the Pacific theater. Robert was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist.

Survivors include his loving wife of 73 years, Faye Walker; sons Ken (Toni) Walker of Murfreesboro, TN, and Larry (Theresa) Walker of Pulaski, TN; daughter Malinda (David) Gibson of Fayetteville, TN. Grandchildren Karen Walker of Phoenix, AZ, Adam Gibson, Fayetteville, TN, Susan Anderson, Murfreesboro, TN, Rob (Emily) Walker of Murfreesboro, TN, and Kati (Ben) Snow of Bell Buckle, TN. Great grandchildren Cole Anderson, Corrine Walker and Savannah Walker, all of Murfreesboro, TN. Robert is also survived by sisters Selma Smith of Houston, TX, and Dot Monks of Fayetteville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stewart’s Cemetery c/o Sue Sapach, 289 Smith Mill Road, Fayetteville, TN, Fayetteville First Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.

A private family service was held at Stewart’s Cemetery.
