Ricky Neal Simmons

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Ricky Neal Simmons, age 58, of Flintville. Mr. Simmons passed away August 8, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Lincoln County and son of the late Tom and Sarah Jean Patterson Simmons.

Mr. Simmons was an auto mechanic with Bill Penney Toyota of Huntsville. He was a member of the Flintville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed wood working, projects at home and being outside.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Patsy Simmons; step-sons Chad (Marsha) Cantrell and Kelly (Meredith) Cantrell; granddaughter Morgan Poarch; step-grandchildren Luke, Ansley and Adalyn Cantrell; brother Tommy (Sheila) Simmons; and sisters Jill Durham and Lori (Mark) Edmunds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vanessa “Jojo” Simmons.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Flintville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flintville Cumberland Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Mr. Simmons.
