Richard Stephen Scott

Funeral service for Mr. Richard “Ricky” Stephen Scott, age 62, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 3 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black and Ricky Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens.

Ricky was born on November 18, 1955 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Robert Wilson and Mary Virginia Cothrum Scott. He worked at Paul Badenhop Company as a diesel mechanic and was owner / operator of Scott’s Auto and Truck Repair. Mr. Scott passed away on March 23, 2018 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann West Scott; son, Neil (Haley) Scott; daughter, Danielle Paige (Ivan) Ingram; grandsons, James West Scott and Alexander Charles Ingram; brothers, Thomas Scott and David Scott; and a sister, Vicky Scott. In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wayne Scott.

Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until the time of service at 3 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Richard “Ricky” Stephen Scott.

Jo Ann, We are so sorry to learn of Ricky’s passing. He was always courteous and kind to me. I remember your wonderful smile from when we worshiped at Washington Street Church of Christ. We know you have many such precious memories of Ricky.

Joanne and children so sorry we’re so far away now and couldn’t make it to the funeral. I just remember how good he was to Joey when Joey worked in his shop. Ricky actually taught him a lot. Of course Joey went on to become a mechanic and part of this is because of Ricky
