It is with regret we announce the passing of Rebecca Arnold Colbert Legg, age 91, of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her first husband, Reedes Colbert. Visitation with the family will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday at Higgins.
Rebecca was born May 13, 1930, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Willis Frank and Leah Edde Arnold. She worked at Scovill Manufacturing and then part time with The Exchange. Rebecca was a member of the Highland United Methodist Church and she enjoyed sewing. She also had a green thumb and loved gardening and flowers. Rebecca passed away January 15, 2022, at her residence.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail (Phillip Andrew) Maddox; bonus children, Linda (Herman) Reynolds, Barbara Mattleson, Denise Rogers, Jack Legg, Larry (Kaye) Legg; grandchildren, Stacey (Derrick Chapman) Maddox, Phillip W. Maddox; great-grandchildren, Katlynn (Cody) Luttrell, Emily (Will Mosley) Maddox, Lexi Maddox, Karlee (Trevor Bell) Maddox, Hannah (Christian Counts) Maddox, Sophia Chapman, Kaiden Chapman; great-great grandchildren, Lenyx Luttrell, Kennedy Luttrell, Luca Luttrell, Khloe Maddox, Bennett Bell; numerous bonus grandchildren and bonus great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her first husband, Rebecca was preceded in death by her second husband, Lelton Legg, son Hurley Colbert and her siblings, Paul Goodrich Arnold, Ray Arnold, R. W. Arnold, Mary Lee Pirtle, Dot Chisam, Homer Fears, Floyd Fears, Lois Barnes, Flossie Metcalf, and Wilma Skrocki.

I am so sorry to learn of Rebecca’s passing. I worked with her at Scovill years ago, and always found her to be a delightful personality.

Gail so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I am not getting out as so many of my family have the virus and I have not been around them but I want to stay as well as I can. I think your Mother was staying away from people almost as soon as she moved in up there. My son thought so much of her and was hurt he did not get up there to see her. He is working from home and does not get out either. Your Mother was so sweet and friendly and they all loved working with her. Will check with you when we all get well. Love Joyce

Sorry to hear about Becky, I remember when her and Papa Willis sguare danced together. Enjoyed watching them. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
