Graveside service for Raymond Junior Swinford, age 80, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Kirkland Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Raymond was born on November 18, 1942, in Fayetteville, TN to the late Johnson Rufus Swinford and Annie Ruth Swinford. He was a graduate of Blanche High School and served in the US Army. Mr. Swinford enjoyed being outdoors, mowing the lawn, traveling to the beach and mountains, and was an avid UT Vols Fan (Go Big Orange!). Raymond passed away on May 29, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Norma Swinford; daughters, Stefanie Fikes, and LaRonda (Chris) Naumoff; grandchildren, Jacob Naumoff, and Ashley (C.H.) Scruggs; and brothers, Charles Swinford, James Swinford, and Roy Swinford. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his grandson, Ty Fikes; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Swinford and Peggy Swinford.

    The memories of the Swinford family will be with me forever. From the family farm near my gradads farm to the old schooldays at Bellview to the grocery business in Huntsville. The old days are always in my memory. My thought and sympothy are with you today although I could not be. God bless.
