Funeral services for Mr. Rayburn Cecil Mearse, age 58, of Pioneer Drive, Fayetteville will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock at Higgins Funeral Home with Brother Carlos Beddingfield officiating, burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens.
A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Mearse was the son of the late R. C. and Dellar Taylor Mearse and the husband of Virginia Ruth Williams Mearse who survives. He was a former supervisor for the Lincoln County Board of Public Utilites and a member of the House of Prayer and Worship.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 2 sons: C. J. and Todd Mearse both of Fayetteville, 3 brothers: Paul Stanley Mearse and Billy Joe Mearse both of Fayetteville and Ronnie Mearse of Kelso, 3 sisters: Patsy Ann Moore and Glenda Faye Lamay both of Fayetteville, and Pauline Mearse of Huntsville, AL.
The Mearse Family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M
