It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Ray Bostick “Chip” Woods, Jr. age 54, of Fayetteville, TN. Mr. Woods was born on July 21, 1965 in Lincoln County, TN. He passed away on April 23, 2020, at his residence.
Ray was employed at Frito Lay as a process operator and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Auburn fan.
Survivors include his life partner of twenty plus years, Pamela Price of Fayetteville; father, Ray Bostick (Kay) Woods, Sr., of Fayetteville; sons, Christopher Ray Woods of Huntsville, AL and Keith Austin Woods of Nashville; sister, Melissa Woods (Wade) Hays of Huntsville, AL. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Douthit Woods.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public gathering at this time. A private family service will be held with Pastor Danny Green officiating and burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family invites you to share memories at higginsfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lincoln County Tribute Chair, Cary B. Sullivan, P.O. Box 470, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

It was good to know and work with Chip all these years. He was a good guy with a good outlook and never held a grudge even when arguing for Trump. I’ll miss you Chip.

Ray & Kay so sorry for your loss. I have been in for so long I have lost contact just about everyone. I got sick the middle of Dec. and have been in close since than. You all have my sympathy , I know it is so hard to loose a loved one and I will thinking of all of you. We had gotten close in 2019 then every thing changed with so many sick and deaths. Just read that Chip had died 2 yrs ago
He was one of my favorite few, perhaps my favorite at Frito Lay. Great intellectual conversations with him and he made the other co-workers such a gossipy bore. Rest in peace Chip. You’re the one I remember and now pray for.
