Funeral service for Mr. Phillip Loyd “Nick” Thomason, age 82, of the Boonshill Community, will be conducted Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Michael Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in Medium Cemetery beside his late wife Barbara Jean Sullivan Thomason. Mr. Thomason passed away Saturday June 20, 2015 at Bailey Manor.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late John William and Savilla Hopkins Thomason, was a school teacher for 30 years, served in the U.S. Navy and a member of the Cyruston Church of Christ.
Survivors include his children Eydie (D.E.) Foster of Delina, Michael (Cindy) Thomason of Meridianville, AL, Renee (Kirt) Ray of Fayetteville, grandchildren Lynn Foster, Guy (Emily) Foster, Chelsea Thomason and Casey Thomason, sisters Annie Ruth Roden of Delina, Betty Johnson of Fayetteville, brothers Gene Thomason, Maurice Thomason both of Franklin, TN and Leonard F. Thomason of Madison, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Monday evening June 22, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mr Nick was such a nice man ,and neightbor .I have a weeping willow he planted for us in our yard and I will always treasure it. We had lots of community memories we shared .Heaven is gaining an Angel! My prayers go out to all the Family!

I was so sorry to here of Mr. Thomason’s passing. He was one of my favorite teachers at Boonshill School.

Mr Nick was a favorite of the teachers I had at Boonshill…….He will be missed
