Phillip Dolan Armstrong

Funeral services for Phillip Dolan Armstrong, age 76 of the Bellville community, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Billions and Bro. Milton Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Melson Cemetery. Mr. Armstrong passed away Monday evening at his residence.
A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Armstrong was the son of the late James Henry B. and Edna Carrie Laws Armstrong. He was a former employee of Eaton Corp in Shelbyville where he worked for 35 years. Mr. Armstrong was a farmer, a member of the Army National Guard and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Brown Armstrong of the Bellville community, two sons Wayne (Lynn) Armstrong and Dewayne Armstrong both of the Bellville Community, grandson Cody Swing, brother Joe (Melissa) Armstrong of the Boonshill Community, sister Wanda Armstrong of Kelso. Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Armstrong and brother Jack Armstrong.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
