Mr. Phillip was always someone who made me smile when I saw him. We always stopped and spoke for a few. I know you all can be assured that he and Mr. Knox are sitting on a porch somewhere talking about some good stuff and looking down smiling at their families. What a blessing that will be when you all meet again! Mr. Phillip was a good man and loved you all! My prayers to all his family and friends.

I am so sad that this special man has passed away. He and my Aunt ‘Nani” helped raise me and I feel such a huge part of this precious family. He and I had a relationship where the arguing showed nothing but love. He nicknamed me “Carter” from when I wad little and Carter is very sad today. You will always be loved and you will never be forgotten!! God bless you and rest in peace Uncle Philip. Love you very much.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Philip. He was a long lifetime friend of mine. I enjoyed the many times we talked about tractors, etc. I purchased two tractors from him and he was a truly fair person. I will miss seeing him at Marvin’s. May God bless and be with the survivors.

Wanda, Phyllis, Keith and the entire Barnes family,
I am saddened to hear that a true Southern gentleman has passed. This community has suffered a great loss. There was never a time that I didn’t see Mr. Phillip Ray that he didn’t speak, and he always had a smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you today, and the tough days to come. Hold fast to those precious memories that you all made along the way; that’s what will help heal your heart.
