Pauline Whitehead

Graveside service for Pauline Whitehead age 95, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday September 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. in Flintville Cemetery, with Rev. Tim Shields officiating. Mrs. Whitehead passed away September 7, 2016 at Lincoln Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Frank and Lettie Catherine Dotson McElyea. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include daughters Juanita (Lee) Mitchell of Fayetteville, Patsy (Tim) Shields of the Howell Community, Kathy (Kenny) Brown, Mary Shockley all of Fayetteville, sons Delbert “Butch” Whitehead of Fayetteville, and Harold (Sara) Whitehead of Spring Lake, NC, daughters-in-law Carol Whitehead, Brenda Whitehead. 36 grandchildren and over 100 great grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Howard Whitehead and children Rita Sheare, Larry Whitehead, Bobby Whitehead and Earl Whitehead and daughter-in-law Carolyn Whitehead.

There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
