Patricia Ann Moon

Graveside service for Patricia Ann Moon, age 71, of Athens, AL will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Bee Springs Cemetery with Bro. Joe Daniel Mitchell officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Ann was born on May 9, 1949 in Lincoln County, TN to the late James M. Mitchell, Jr. and Martha Ruth Burns Mitchell. She was a clerk and telephone operator for BellSouth until she retired. After retirement, Ann went on to care for others working for Hospice Home Healthcare. She was a Camp Blue Bird Volunteer. Ann loved playing softball and playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cullman, AL. Ann passed away at her residence on January 20, 2021.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly (William) Kent of Athens, AL, Marty (Candy) Owen of Athens, AL, and Wade (Tamara) Moon of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Savannah Smith (Keith Vaughn), Christopher (April) Smith, Ashley (Brett) Mansfield, Michael Owen, Kelsey (Jacob) Vines, Haylee (Brandon) Goode; great-grandchildren, Carson Smith, K.J. Vaughn, Destiney Vaughn, Maddox Mansfield, Hollis Grey Mansfield, due soon, and Jaylon Hurt; siblings, Bobby (Donna) Mitchell and Sandra (Gary) Welch. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Larry David Moon; and siblings, Larry Mitchell, Billy Mitchell, and Steven Mitchell.

Ann was such a sweet lady and hard worker at Camp Bluebird. She make sure the campers were served delicious meals. She will be missed.

So sorry for y’all. I worked with Ann several years in Huntsville. She was one of the sweetest ladies I know always so happy.
