Owena Kidd

Memorial service for Owena Kidd, age 75 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ennis Hyman officiating. Mrs. Kidd passed away Monday at Lincoln Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Kidd was the daughter of the late J.B. Kidd and Mabel Owen Kidd Hambrick. Mrs. Kidd was a retired seamstress, former employee of Marvin’s Restaurant and a member of the Lincoln Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Cindy (Sam) Britton, Eddie Smith and Kristy D. Smith all of Fayetteville, four grandchildren Erin (Joe) Alderman, Lindsay Britton, Josh Smith and Jordan Smith, great-grandchildrn Blake Smith, Brock and Triston Alderman, two sisters Helen Cothren and Barbara Locker both of Fayetteville, aunt Emily Sowell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from noon until time of service at 1:00 PM.

Kristy, So sorry to hear of your mother’s death. I remember her from years ago and she was always real nice to me. She was a very beautiful, classy lady and I’m sure she was an excellent mother and grandmother. I’m sorry I did not know in time to attend her service and I hope you will find comfort in wonderful memories and in knowing that you are surrounded by friends who love you dearly!
