I am so sorry to hear of Billie’s passing…She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I remember seeing her at the cotton gin in years past in cotton season. She was truly a sweet lady.My thoughts and prayers are with you..

I was very sad to hear of my mothers passing thru the social worker at Guardian Health Services in Nashville at 8am friday morning. Mom’s health declined rapidly when she was taken away from her hometown, family, friends and church. I have a lot of good memories of working side by side with my mother and father at the cotton gin, grainery and most importantly the trucking company for 18 years. Thank you to everyone that was so kind to my mom while she was sick. Your Loving Son, Bill Towry

Ms. Billie was such a beautiful, gracious woman. As my Mom reminded me, she was one of my favorite Sunday School teachers too! Thank you for helping raise me.

Bill: I would like to be there for you during this time of loss and sadness. Current circumstance prevents my physical presence. You know I am there for you in heart and spirit. Please know all your true friends are standing tall beside you during this time of sorrow. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Real friends are a treasure and you know there are many of us. Please convey my feelings off condolence to Shields as I know his loss, like yours has not just been a most recent one. It is time for closure and rest for each of you. Keep the good times in yourr heart. NO ONE CAN TAKE THOSE!

Dear Linda, Burt, & Bill………….. I was shocked to hear of the loss of your mother. Billie was such a sweet lady. The last time I saw Billie was at the beauty shoppe, she was a classy lady and wanted to look good at all times! She was as sweet as she was pretty, I know each one of you were proud to call her MOM! I know it took a lot out of Billie when Burton passed, but she is back with the love of her life and at peace! I am so sorry to have missed the visitation, I would have loved to have seen all you again. Wishing you a blessed Holiday Season. And remember you still have Towry Family in Lincoln County!!!

I just found out about Miss Billie when I opened a Memorial for her today….although the time I knew her was short, she was always such a lady! I admired her for learning to use the computerized systems at the library, and she was so spry for her age! Everytime I have seen her “memories” cabinet on the second floor of the library, I have thought about her, and missed her. Charlotte Brown

Burt, Linda, and Bill,
You had a very good mother. She was a virtuous woman and showed kindness and respect to everyone. My late mother spoke very highly of Billie and would often visit with Billie at the library. Billie was gracious and very much a lady; yet, more importantly, she was a Christian. I sat near her in church almost every Sunday. Billie will be missed for the lives that she touched with her kindness. All who have known her were blessed by her presence.
