Monnie Louise Gautney Walker

Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Monnie Louise Gautney Walker, age 88, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Prospect Cemetery with Bro. Chester Slayton officiating. Burial will follow beside her husband, Leslie Gordon Walker. Visitation will be held at 12 PM until 2 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Walker.

Monnie was born December 12, 1930 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Charles Lee and Sallie Dee Tucker Gautney. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and worked as a row crop farmer. Mrs. Walker passed away on February 27, 2019 at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Gwathney, Micheal (Betty) Walker, Rex Walker, Becky (Tommy) Sisk all of Fayetteville and Nancy (Skip) Marcy; ten grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Joy (Don) True. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dovie Keller, Minnie Lee Brassfield and brother, Charles Elbert Gautney.
