Funeral services for Miss Eleanor Alberta Croney, age 87, of Fayetteville will be conducted Saturday at 1:00PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Miss Croney passed away Wednesday night at Donalson Care Center.
She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Thomas Cordie and Martha Morning Hasty Croney. She was a retired sales clerk, a member of the Mimosa Home Demonstration Club and the Mimosa Church of Christ. Although Miss Eleanor lived alone she was always at home with nieces and nephews Wanda, Judy, Anita, Patricia, Billy, Phillip, David and Mark.
Survivors include her brother Fred Croney and wife Margie of Norcross, GA and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Thelma and Charles Groce and brother and sister-in-law J.B. and Annie Ruth Croney.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 11am-1PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
