Milton (Pete) Shelton

It is with regret we announce the passing of Milton (Pete) Shelton, age 60 of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday at Higgins.

Pete was born May 9, 1961, in Franklin County, TN to the late James Thomas and Lucille Walden Shelton. He was an electrician with Electrical Solutions and attended Christian Fellowship Church. Pete enjoyed wood working, camping, reading, and movies, and he loved being Pops to his grandchildren. He passed away February 14, 2022, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Kathy Jane Hall Shelton of Fayetteville; children, Tiffany C. (Tara) Colbert of Fayetteville, Bobby D. (Samantha) Shelton of Fayetteville; special nephew, Timothy D. (Chelsea) Shelton, Jr. of Fort Stewart, GA; grandchildren, Grady Colbert, Michael Shelton, Jackman Shelton, and Brylee Shelton; brothers, Kenneth (Loretta) Shelton, Paul (Janice) Shelton, Charlie Shelton, Johnny Shelton, Tim (Michelle) Shelton; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Joe Shelton, Onis Shelton, James Shelton, Mary Shelton, and Faye Mason.

I grew up with Pete and his family, we had a lot of fun together. He was a really good and caring Dude. I know he will be missed greatly.
