Mildred Elizabeth Whitmire Dilbeck, age 86, passed away on June 22, 2015 to join her Heavenly Father. Mildred was born on July 6, 1928 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and was the daughter of Earnest E. Whitmire and Annie Apel Whitmire. She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 40 years, Troy Melvin Dilbeck, with whom she enjoyed traveling. Mildred was a faithful Baptist who most recently attended Northside Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL until she was no longer able to attend.
She is survived by her children, Alan Dilbeck of Tennessee and Alice Dilbeck of Harvest, AL, her granddaughter Rachael Reavis (Willis Nicholes) of Richmond, IN and her great grandson Cullen James Nicholes.
Graveside service for Mrs. Dilbeck will be conducted Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Prospect Cemetery with Rev. Ellin Jimmerson officiating. There will be no visitation prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northside Baptist Church, 2900 Meridian St., North, Huntsville, AL 35811.
