Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Boyd Edwards, age 83, Flintville will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Robinson and Rev. Benny Hipps officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery beside her husband Emmett Edwards who died in 2001. Mrs. Edwards passed away Friday morning at the Lynchburg Nursing Center.
She was a native of Madison County, AL and the daughter of the late Robert and Vinnie Gaines Boyd. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and a member of the Stewart’s Chapel Baptist Church for 59 years.
Survivors include a daughter Carolyn Greenwood of McMinnville, two sons Chris Edwards and wife Jane of Fayetteville and Boyce Allen Edwards of Elora, sister Lara Shubert of Louisville, KY, grandchildren Jason Greenwood and wife Lisa of Fayetteville, David Edwards of Fayetteville, Chris and Eric Banks of Huntland and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12PM to 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
