Michael James Gordon Osborne

Memorial services for Michael James Gordon Osborne, age 66 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday, March 10th at 1:00 PM at the Fayetteville Elks Lodge. Military interment will be later this spring at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Mr Osborne passed away Monday at his residence.

SMSgt Osborne served his adopted country in the USAF, retiring in 1985 after serving 21 years, including four combat tours in SE Asia, where he was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. He then commenced a career as a logistician and project manager for various critical, high value US Army Aviation countermeasures projects, responsible for the saving of countless lives in the last ten years.

He was a native of Scotland and the son of Jim and Dora Osborne and Christine and Roy Piercy. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife Kathryn, sons Ian Osborne, Eric Osborne, Denny DeMarcy and Daniel Beebe, six grandchildren, sisters Jane Armstrong and Liz Osborne, brothers John Osborne, Paul Osborne and Bill Osborne.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Clearwater Cancer Institute.

My father was a good man with a large heart. I wish we had more time as I’m sure many of you do as well.
