Michael Dwayne Gray

Funeral service for Michael Dwayne Gray, age 59, of Shelbyville, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Andy Keffer officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Michael was born on March 27, 1963, in Lincoln County, TN to Joe D. Gray and the late Shirley A. Flynt Gray. Mr. Gray was a retired Housing inspector with the City of Huntsville and was a member of Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene. Michael enjoyed gardening, loved being on his boat, and fishing. Mr. Gray passed away on April 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Gray; daughters, Heather Gray, Hannah (Joseph) Faulkner, and Holly Gray, all of Fayetteville; bonus daughter, Brianne Evans of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Roma Faulkner; bonus grandson, Ryder Jones; sisters, Sonya Crabtree, and Bridget (John) Cash; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Always Endure, P.O. Box 904, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Michael, he and I went to school together at Highland Rim and Lincoln County. He was always nice to everyone. My prayers are with the family. I can and I pray his family can find comfort in knowing that Michael is with our Lord and Savior.
