Funeral services for Mattie Lou Warren, age 86 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith and Johnny Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband of 62 years, James Levoy Warren, who passed away in 2013.
Mrs. Warren was a native of Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Clyde Robertson and Bessie Tucker Johnson. Mrs. Warren was a former employee of Elk Cotton Mill and attended the Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a charter member of the Fayetteville Lioness Club and a member of the Iris Society.
Survivors include cousin Johnny Tucker and wife Tricia of Portland, TN, Connie Malchetske and husband Rick of Portland, TN, June Gause and husband Gene of Mulberry, Bobbie Sue Blackwell of Kingston Springs, TN, nephew Willie Burton Rives and wife Judy of the Mimosa Community and special friends Ed and Nell Norman and William and Becky Jeans all of Lincoln County and Charles and Jere Brown of Pulaski. She was preceded in death by a sister Hilda Johnson Honea.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
