MaryBeth Maddox Jennings

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mrs. MaryBeth Maddox Jennings, age 91, of Taft, TN. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Edgar and Rev. Dana Crowell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Higgins.

Mrs. Jennings was born December 1, 1930, in Giles Co, TN to the late Auburn Aultman and Martha Adelaide Stevenson Maddox. She was a 1948 graduate of Blanche High School and a graduate of Nashville Business College. MaryBeth then worked for Standard Candy Co in Nashville before moving to Lincoln County. She was a clerk at Fayetteville Electric System, and a member of Prosperity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. MaryBeth was very active with the LC Farm Bureau Women and was treasurer of WMU for 30 years. She loved her family, providing a warm and loving home for them, and working in her flowers and garden. Mrs. Jennings passed away March 20, 2022, at Bailey Manor.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Linda) Jennings, Frank (Terry) Jennings, Brenda (Doug) Coble, and Jimmy (Michelle) Jennings, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Lance (Kathy) Jennings, Lex Jennings, Marcy (Terry) Bynum, Angie Neal, Bryan Coble, Lorne Coble, KatieBeth (Casey) Fones, Ethan (Samantha) Jennings, Makenzie Moorehead, and Colton Moorehead; seventeen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lilburn Clark Jennings; infant daughter, Linda Lou Jennings; grandson, Auburn Jennings; and siblings, James Maddox, Martha Scott, and Margaret Mansfield.

Memorial donations may be made to Women’s Missionary Union, c/o Prosperity ARP Church, 19 Prosperity Road, Taft, TN 38488 or charity of choice.

I have so many fond memories with Ralph, Mary Beth, Lilburn. We had some good times together and shared lots of memories with Farm Bureau and the Yukon community. She always had the sweetest smile and a kind word wherever you saw her. She will be missed by many. Love to her family.
