It is with regret we announce the passing of Mary Stubblefield Cox, age 86, of Ardmore, TN. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery, Lynnville, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Higgins.
Mary was born June 25, 1935, in Marshall County, TN to the late Lige and Ocia Franklin Jenkins. She was of the Jehovah Witness faith. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She also loved to play guitar and listening to Loretta Lynn. She passed away January 7, 2022, at Donalson Care Center.
Mary is survived by her husband, Burgess Cox; son, Randy (Linda) Stubblefield; brothers, Billy (Joyce) Jenkins, Jerry Jenkins; sister, Kathleen (Harold) Tucker; five grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alex Stubblefield; son, Edward Owens; daughter, Linda Jones; brothers, Junior Jenkins, Alford Jenkins, Walter Jenkins; and sisters Ola Mae Jenkins, Marie Cox.
