Mary Osgood Beck

Graveside funeral service for Mary Osgood Beck, age 80, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Riverview Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ronnie Gay officiating.

Mary was born on December 17, 1940, in Sarasota, FL to the late Henry Randolph and Beatrice Mary Mensen Boswell. She attended the University of Florida and worked at Honeywell in St. Petersburg for 7 years before moving with her family to Tennessee in 1973. Mary worked in Real Estate and Insurance for many years, and she enjoyed quilting and painting for her own pleasure. She was also active with Walking Horses and served as Secretary of the Florida State Walking Horse Association. Mary passed away on October 23, 2021, at Bailey Manor in Fayetteville.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Jane) Osgood, Gary (Tina) Osgood, and Ronald (Tascha) Osgood all of Fayetteville; step-daughter, Julie Ann (Steve) Fowler of McDonough, GA; step-son, David (Alesia) Beck of Brownsboro, AL; step-daughter-in-law, Susan Beck of Fayetteville; brother, Henry (Barbara) Boswell, Jr.; five grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.  In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Austin Beck; stepson, Scott Beck; sister Betty Ann Collins; and step-granddaughter, Laura Beck.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 1718 Pulaski Highway, Fayetteville, TN 37334, or the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 1373, Tullahoma, TN 37388.

My heart and sympathies go to each of Mary’s family. She was a very sweet lady and will be missed by all who knew her.
