Mary June Simmons Sisk

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary June Simmons Sisk, age 80, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday September 6, 2022, at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Don Pierson officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery.

June was born May 6, 1942, in Lincoln County to the late James (Jim) and Leona Simmons. June worked as a registered nurse in Lincoln County for many years and was a member of the Stewarts Chapel Baptist Church. She passed away September 3, 2022, at her residence with her family at her side.

Survivors include her husband Aubrey Sisk of Fayetteville; son James (Lisa Smith) Sisk of Fayetteville; grandchildren Leslie Sisk and Kelsi Sisk; great-granddaughter Hazeleigh Sisk; sisters Violet Mathias and Hilda May. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her son Jackie Sisk; sisters Ruby Johnson, Beatrice Benevito, Faye Nelson, and Lillie Groves; and brothers James and Eddie Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

So sorry for your loss…I remember June as a nurse very good lady… MAY God give you comfort knowing she is in a better place… R.I.P. June

I will always remember June and her beautiful smile. She always could ” light” up a room when she entered . She was a wonderful person. Prayers for James abd all the family.
