Mary Ann Harwell Brewer, a lifelong resident of Fayetteville, passed away at the age of 90. Born in 1935 to Berry Brown Harwell and Katherine Harwell, Mary grew up surrounded by a large family in Lincoln County.
Mary Ann lived a life rooted in faith and tradition. As a longtime member of the Baptist church, she found peace and strength in gospel music. She was the cornerstone of her home, often found baking her signature chocolate pies or canning the season’s harvest, to share with those she loved.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents; husband, Robert Lee Brewer; her son, Robert “Bob” Brewer; sister, Betty Brewer; and her brothers, Shorty Harwell, Robert Farrell Harwell, Harold Harwell, Claiborne Harwell, Donald Harwell, Billy Harwell, and Walter Frank Harwell.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Mike) Crosslin of Fayetteville and Regina Braden (Eddie) of Akron, OH; grandchildren, Robby (Jessi) Crosslin, Dakota Crosslin (Michaela Farmer), and Christopher Braden; and her sisters, Maudie Foster of Pulaski and Ruby Jane Twyman of Fayetteville.
A private burial will be held at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

I did not know Mrs. Brewer but I know the wonderful daughter she raised and who took care of her until the end. Cindy, I am so very sorry for your heartbreak. Please know that I am thinking of you during this difficult time and hoping that you can allow the good memories you have of your Mother to bring you through to brighter days. I love you my friend.

So sorry on the loss of your mom Cindy Prayers of comfort and healing during this difficult this . We’ve had lots of good times years ago at church. She is celebrating now for sure with many others that have made there way to Heaven.

Cindy, we are so very sorry to hear your Mother passed away and we understand your heartbreak What a joy it was to work with her at the Exchange. I’ll always remember her telling me “don’t throw away that cute little box”. She was always having something funny to say and we loved her dearly.
