Funeral service for Mr. Marvin Marshall Steelman, age 79 of Fayetteville will be conducted at 3 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until time of service on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Marvin was born on September 15, 1941 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Naith Alexander and Josie Pearl Goosby Steelman. He was a truck driver delivering milk and bread to the local area until he retired. After retirement, Marvin continued to give back to the community by driving one of the Lincoln County Transportation vans for the Senior Center. Marvin enjoyed watching westerns and taking drives with his beautiful wife of 57 years, Sara Jean Moore Steelman. He was a member of the Camargo Church of Christ. Marvin passed away on March 18, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
In addition to his wife, Marvin is survived by his son, John (Angela) Steelman of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Marshall Steelman, Peyton Steelman, and Brittany (Steven) Moyers; great-grandson, Killian Moyers; sister, Brenda Barnes; brother, Jimmy Steelman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rachel Steelman, Betty Johnson, and Martha Roland; and brother, Billy Bert Steelman.

Sara, so sorry for you in the death of Marvin. I always enjoyed talking to him when I had the chance. We rode with him some when Dwight came from the VA after his treatments. praying for you and your family.
