Funeral services for Marvin Homer Simmons, age 86, of Taft will be conducted Saturday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Jones and Bro. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery beside his wife Dora Smartt Simmons who passed away June 5th, 2011. Mr. Simmons passed away Wednesday night in Donaldson Care Center.
He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Homer and Essie Towry Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister Annette Simmons Cooper of Huntsville, brother Colyar Simmons of Taft and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12PM-2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
