Martha LaVerne McCaleb West

Funeral service for Mrs. Martha LaVerne McCaleb West, age 82, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday December 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow beside her husband Joe W. West in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mrs West passed away December 3, 2016.

A native of Maury County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Arnold D. and Sallie Mae McCaleb, Mrs. West worked many years for West Construction Company, and Farrar Animal Clinic, she was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughters, Juandell (Ronnie) Groce of Smyrna and Jo Ann (Ricky) Scott of Fayetteville, grandchildren Meleia Dotson, Melanie Groce, Michael (Jill) Groce, Neil (Haley) Scott, Danielle (Ivan) Ingram and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. West was preceded in death by a brother James H. McCaleb.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday December 6, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Tennessee Childrens Home P.O. Box 10 Spring Hill, TN 37174

Juandell and Jo Ann: Sorry about Mrs. West passing away. She was always such a kind lady. I know you will miss her. I know what you are going through. Sorry I wasn’t able to make by the funeral home. We were with Uncle Lewis. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. God bless, Janice and Brent
