Funeral service for Mark Lee Nichols, age 58, of Taft, TN will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wright’s Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM on Friday.
Mark was born on May 12, 1962 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Joe Douglas Nichols and Maggie Loretta Hopkins Nichols Henson. He was a 1981 graduate of Lincoln County High School and of the Baptist Faith. Mark worked as a truck driver for Palatec Trucking. Mr. Nichols enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loving on his grandchildren. Mark passed away on November 23, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Leann Helton Nichols; children, Randy Helton of Fayetteville, TN, Bobby (Angel) Ward of Taft, Crystal (Robert) Juengel of Merdianville, AL, and Lee (Kacee) Nichols of Petersburg, TN; grandchildren, Cameron Sauerwein, Katie Beth Helton, Aedan Juengel, Cassie Juengel, Caitlyn Juengel, and Grayson Nichols; brothers, Manual Nichols, Mike Nichols, and Matt (Melissa) Nichols all of Petersburg; and his lil buddy, Cooper. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Monte Nichols and a cousin, Ronnie Nichols.

To the Family
We grew up with Mark, his brothers and cousins. They spent every summer with their grandparents Mr. Ed and Miss Lillie May our neighbors. So sorry to hear of Marks passing. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
