Funeral service for Marjorie Richardson Stevenson, age 89 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Stevenson passed away Sunday May 3, 2015 at Donalson Care Center.
She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Kenneth O. and Grace Taylor Richardson, Sr. Mrs. Stevenson was retired secretary from Elk Cotton Mill and was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Craft of Muscle Shoals, AL, son James M. Groce of Chicago, IL, granddaughter Helen (Jeremy) Roehm of Fredericksburg VA, great-grandchildren Ronan, Myka and Zane Roehm and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Edwin Earl Stevenson, parents, husband Ray E. Stevenson, two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

“Aunt Margie” was a very funny, friendly and loving woman. She will be fondly remembered and missed.
