Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Daniel Nelson, age 79, of Taft will be conducted Thursday at 12PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson passed away Monday at Donalson Care Center.
She was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Lindsey Lee and Mary Rosemma Winsett Daniel and a former ERA real estate agent in Florida. Mrs Nelson was a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and Shriner’s.
Survivors include her son Mike Hopkins and wife Vickie of Fayetteville, granddaughter Amanda Hopkins, grandson Matthew Hopkins both of Memphis, sisters Ruth Parkerson and Lyla Hopkins both of Fayetteville, Sharon Patterson of Knoxville and Jean Lea of Beinville, LA, two brothers Glen Daniel of Fayetteville and Dale Daniel of Nashville. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Nelson, brother Royce Daniel and two sisters Yvonne Caldwell and Janice Hopkins.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 10AM-12PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
