The Copelands were our neighbors in Flintville when I was small. I swallowed a nickel and Mr. Jess loaned my father his car to take me to Nashville to get it removed. Marie was extra special to me. One day I ran away from home to find my Father and Marie talked me into going back when she promised to make me a doll dress. The dress was made out of navy blue dotted swiss. She was a special person.

God Bless Marie my dearest friend in all the world. We grew up together and stayed friends for 88 years. We picked cotton may times, but one day we had a double date that night and my Father said if we didn’t pick enough cotton that day, we couldn’t go. So, by the end of the day, we didn’t think we had enough so we started putting little rocks in our cotton sacks to make the cotton weigh more. We went on our date, but told my father about it later, he laughed and kidded us about it and told everyone. Marie spent a lot of time with us on the farm and my whole loved her. Sending prayers to the family.

I extend my sincere condolences to the Steelman family on their loss. Jehovah God promises us that through his son Jesus, he will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Revelation 21:3,4
Please take comfort from this promise during your time of bereavement.
