Marbrey Louise Price Honea

Funeral service for Mrs. Marbrey Louise Price Honea, age 79, of Flintville, TN will be conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Terrell Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery in New Market, AL.

Mrs. Honea was a native of Lincoln County, TN and born on June 22, 1939 to the late Arthur and Dollie Jane Marberry Price. She worked for the Lee Company, Jonathan Logan, and retired from Flintville School in 2009. Marbrey was a member of the Huntland Missionary Baptist Church and loved quilting. Mrs. Honea passed away on August 2, 2018 at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Scott Dwayne (Sharon) Honea of Fayetteville, TN Russell Clifton (Mandy) Honea of Huntsville, AL Phyllis Marie Hollis (Phillip) Tunstill of Flintville, TN; brother, Sam (Becky) Price; grandchildren, Max (Nikki) Tunstill, Jay (Tiffany) Tunstill, Justin (Lan) Hollis, Nikki Hollis, Amelia (Kevin) Webb, Raybon Honea, Olivia Honea, Bradley Honea, and Austin (fiance, Lauren Anderson) Honea; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Tunstill, Ryker Tunstill, Carter Honea. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Honea was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Wayne Honea in 2002; daughter, Kimberly Honea: son, James Phillip Hollis; a grandson, Alan Hollis; and siblings, Ruby Cothren, Gracie Spray, Omia Hemphill, Buford Price, Melvin Price, and James Price.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Marbrey Louise Price Honea.

To our precious Aunt that we loved very much. She will be missed by many people. She was a very giving person. Never said no to anyone that needed her.

I am so sad to hear of this, I loved Marbrey, she has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and know that God holds you in His arms.

Marbrey always had a smile for me everyday at Lee. She was kind to everyone & will be missed.

So sorry to hear about your loss. She will be greatly missed. Know that you and your family our in our thoughts and prayers. Marbrey was a very special woman , , I enjoyed our conversations on the phone and her humor. She was a very thoughtful Nanny ( grandma) to Justin and Niki. Know that we love you Phyllis, Phillip, Max and Jay and your wives and children . Also Scott and Russell and family! Hugs to all❤️❤️❤️

Phyliss and family so sorry to hear about Marbrey passing. We worked together at Lee’s years ago . Such a sweet woman . Prayer and hugs for her family.

I am so sorry about Mrs Marbrey. I had no idea that she had passed until I saw this just now. I’m sorry I missed the family at her visitation but know my thought and prayers remain with all of you. She worked at FJHS while I taught there and was such a wonderful lady.
