Funeral services for Mr. Mabron Holland Smith, age 78, of Ardmore, Tn will be conducted at 2PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with burial to follow in the New Grove Cemetery. Mr. Smith passed away Tuesday at his residence.
He was a native of Lincoln County, TN and the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Aileen Holland Smith, Jr. Mr. Smith was retired from the U. S. Army Missile Command and was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Kelly’s Creek Baptist Church and a graduate of MTSU and George Peabody College.
Survivors include his daughter Karen H. Reid of Nashville, TN two sisters Martha Chalfont of Nashville and Pauline “Polly” Falkenberg of Huntsville, AL, one brother James W. Smith of Ardmore, TN, and one granddaughter Madison Reid of Nashville. He was preceded in death by a daughter Darla Smith and one sister Annette Smith.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from noon until 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
