Lyndal Mitchell

Funeral service for Mr. Lyndal Mitchell, age 85, of Frankewing, TN will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home, with Rev. Dwight Smith, Rev. John Sanders and Rev. Tommy Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in Storey Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell passed away March 17, 2017 at St Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Ima J. Storey Mitchell. He was a Farmer, a Army veteran and a member of the Dellrose United Methodist Church where he served as superintendent of the church, and a volunteer director with Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Storey Mitchell; children Sharon Robinson of Knoxville, Stanley Jay (Deby) Mitchell of Frankewing, and Valeree (Chris) Pitman of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren Andy and Alex Pitman; and brother-in-laws Robert Wayne (Milah) Storey of Nashville, George Storey and Faye, and Grady (Sandra) Storey both of Giles County; sister in-law Helen O’Neal Mitchell and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his brother Edward Mitchell and a sister-in-law Jewell Robinson.

Visitation with the family will be 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Lyndal Mitchell.
