It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Loyd Beaman Helton, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Barnes Cemetery, with Bro. Wayne Hollingsworth officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Helton was born on February 28, 1939 in Madison County, AL to the late John and Lorine Stewart Helton. He enjoyed drag strip racing, competitive shooting, and was owner and operator of Loyd Helton Construction Company. Mr. Helton passed away on November 21, 2021 at Donalson Care Center.
Survivors include his son, Dennis (Sheila Thompson) Helton; grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Helton, and Jeremy (fiancé, Nicole Hutton) Helton; great-grandchildren, Kendall Helton, Emerly Helton, Jeremiah Helton, Luke Davis, and Conner Helton; sister, Kathy Harbin; sister-in-law, Dovie (James) McKinney; several nieces and nephews; and faithful companion, Buddy. In addition to his parents, Loyd was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Amelia Helton; infant daughter, Teresa Helton; and a brother, Gene Helton.
