LoraLee “Freddie” Sheppard

Funeral services for Ms. LoraLee “Freddie” Sheppard, age 78, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wiser and Daniel Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Freddie was a native of Lincoln County and daughter of the late Robert and Laura Towry Bunn. She was raised by her late aunt and uncle Raymond and Rosa Bunn May. Freddie worked for Amana and Faber Castell, and attended Washington Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son Bennie (Jamie) Sheppard; granddaughters Katrina (Angel) Sheppard, Cassidy (Josh) Brewer, Jamie (Barry) Laymance, and Melinda (J.R.) Sheppard; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Maliyah and Kamryn; sisters Josephine Robinson and Edith Wallace; and special nieces and nephews Lyn (David) Henderson, Tony (Monica) Robinson, Clada Warf, Lance Wallace and Danny Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Charles “Bud” May.

Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Ms. LoraLee “Freddie” Sheppard.

Lora Lee was a very sweet and kind lovely lady. She loved her son, family , and cherished her friendships. It was always a joy being with her. Blessings for her family and friends.

I bought my treadle sewing machine from Freddie many years ago. She was a sweet little lady. So sorry for your loss.

Freddie was a truly beautiful, loving lady and a very special neighbor. We will miss she smiling face and her laughter, but we all know our sweet Freddie is in Heaven. Love and prayers to her precious family, especially her sweet little Angel.

Freddie and my mom were good friends when she lived in lewisburg, back when Bennie was a shy little boy. I am so sorry for your loss, have to work so you will be in my thoughts

Mrs Freddie was a sweet lady. Our guys will miss her very much. She always gave them water or lemonade when they came to work at REL.
