Funeral services for Lois Wanda Thomason Scott age 82 of Petersburg will be conducted at 1:00PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Hastings.officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery beside her husband Frank Scott who died in 1993. Mrs. Scott died Monday in Maury Regional Hospital. She was a native of Madison County, AL and the daughter of the late J. W. and Savilla Hopkins Thomason. Mrs. Scott was Nutrition Site Manager for Petersburg Senior Citizens Center, a homemaker and a member of the Cane Creek Church of Christ. She was a long time writer for the Elk Valley Times and the Lewisburg Tribune. She is survived by daughter Deborah Hardin of Petersburg, son David Scott of KS and daughter Frances Murdock of Petersburg, grandchildren Tanya Neill of Fayetteville, Chris Bailey of Pulaski, Jill Hobson of Fayetteville, Richard Hardin of Flintville, Drew Murdock of Petersburg, six great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Louise Hudson of Fayetteville, Gene Thomason of Columbia, Maurice Thomason of Thompson?s Station, Phillip ?Nick? Thomason of Boonshill, Leonard Finus Thomason of Madison, TN, Annie Ruth Roden of Cornersville, Betty Sue Johnson of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Sue Neill, son Andrew Benton Scott, granddaughter Jessica Scott, brother Willard Thomason and sister Gwendolyn Hastings. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4-7PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
