Linda Rebecca Smith Tunstill, age 86, of Flintville, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with her devoted husband and family at her side. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee on May 2, 1940, to the late Willie Smith and the late Polly Reynolds Smith.
Linda was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and a member of the Flintville High School graduating Class of 1958. Shortly after graduation, Linda married Harold Dean Tunstill on August 9, 1958, and was his faithful companion for 68 years. She joined Harold Dean as a partner in Tunstill TV after their marriage and worked in their business until they retired in November of 2014. During that time, she also helped with Harold Dean’s farming operation, and she might have been seen at a tractor pull or two! In their leisure time, Linda and Harold Dean enjoyed traveling and camping. In the early years of their marriage, their children accompanied them on their trips and, after the girls had grown up, Linda and Harold Dean still occasionally enjoyed exploring interesting sights and destinations together.
Linda enjoyed flowers and growing houseplants, and she loved living in the Vanntown community. But she loved her family most of all. Family was always very important to her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William Jennings Bryan “Willie” Smith and Pauline Reynolds Smith; and her brother, Randy Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Dean Tunstill; her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Jimmy Jean of Cornersville, TN; and her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jay Davidson of Flintville, TN.
Linda’s surviving grandchildren are Jeremy Jean (Beth); Lance Jean (Jessica); Tyler Jean (Sara); Lydia Adams (Ryan); Austin Adams; Andrew Adams (Emma); and Channing Adams (Luc). Her surviving great-grandchildren are Cooper, Hallie, Eli, Harper, Amelia and Walker Jean. She is also survived by several brothers-and-sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews who love her very much.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Higgins Funeral Home is privileged to offer comfort, care, and support to the family of Linda Rebecca Smith Tunstill

Linda has been part of my life since childhood. It was always nice to visit, have her and Harold Dean visit, or just run into her around town. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her; including me.
