Graveside service for Mrs. Linda LaRue Powell, age 67, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Stateline Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Sons will officiate. Mrs. Powell was a native of Huntsville, AL and daughter of the late Frank Edwin and Dorothy Evelyn Lemley Owen. She was a caregiver with Skilled Development Center, enjoyed crafting, playing with her grandchildren, and telling people about the Lord.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband Dwight Powell; daughters Amanda Lewis (Cory) Norris and Cindy Gooding both of Fayetteville; grandchildren Haven Norris, Ariana Norris, Justin Gooding, and Jared Gooding; great-grandson Colin Gooding; brother David (Paulette) Owen of Huntsville; and sister Elizabeth (Mark) Watts of Fayetteville. In additional to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Lewis.
There will be no visitation prior to services. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mrs. Linda LaRue Powell.
